What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Similar technology, called browser storage, lets a site remember simple choices on your device. This policy explains both.
Essential cookies
- jalou_sid: keeps you signed in while you use the site. It is only set when you sign in or sign up, can't be read by scripts on the page, is only sent over secure connections, and is removed when you sign out or close your browser.
This cookie is strictly necessary for your account to work, so it doesn't need your consent under UK law.
Browser storage
- jalou_age: remembers that you confirmed you're 18 or over, so we don't ask on every page.
- jalou_cookies: remembers your choice on the cookie notice.
These stay on your device only. They are never sent to our server.
Third-party cookies
Google sign-in. If you choose to sign in or sign up with Google, Google may set its own cookies to run the sign-in and protect against fraud. These are controlled by Google and covered by Google's privacy policy.
Games. Our games are served from our own domain. They may use browser storage to remember game settings such as sound.
We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Analytics
We don't currently use analytics cookies. If we add them, they will be off until you accept them on the cookie notice, and this policy will be updated first.
Managing cookies
You can reopen the cookie notice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookie, you can still play every game as a guest, but you won't be able to stay signed in.
